July 2013 #writemotivation Updates 1 and 2

Ok. Last week was super busy. Not only did I have two blog posts for other people (A cover reveal for Jennifer L. Armintrout and a post about the new look of Entangled Publishing Indulgence line). Not only that, but it was Angsty Tween's 12th birthday, my 15th wedding anniversary, the 4th of July and then it was Friday and I hadn't done a #writemotivation blog post.

Seriously, the world needs to slow down sometimes.

Anyway, here are my goals and progress for this month:

  1. Try to write every day or do something involving writing (really didn’t do that in June and ended up flopping around like a dying goldfish) Doing really good with this. I have either written or read every day this month. Last Friday I think I finally broke through the wall and the words started flowing again. I've been focusing on Snapshot and making good progress. Might have to send some of it to my betas so they can tell me if it works or not.
  2. Finish up my beta read (if I don’t finish it before the end of June). I sent a response to the author and am waiting for them to respond. In the meantime, I am doing a review of someone else's first 10 pages as part of the #FundsForFeaky auction. Hopefully I won't make them cry...too much...
  3. Cheer my #writemotivation pals on. Sort of...need to do better on this. Last week was super busy.

And now for a cute animal gif...because...

'Till Next Time.

  1. I think last week should be a by-week (or is that a bye-week?) with the holiday in there. Glad to see you busting through the walls and getting words out! Here's hoping I can do the same. Thanks for being there when I really needed it yesterday! <3

  2. Aww, I can't see your cute animal gif for some reason :(.

And goodness, I can't give myself the "read OR write everyday" type of goal. Because then I would never write. I would only read!

    Good job so far!

    1. Yeah, it's mostly been writing, but I've tried to read some as well. I really haven't done very well at it for a while.

Also, fixed the picture. Not sure what happened.

  3. Does #2 have to do with me? Because I didn't know you wanted me to say something back. Um, thanks, you've given me much to ponder and muse on as I edit. lol I don't know. People get their notes back to me, I say thanks and go at it... after procrastinating looking at the notes for a couple days. If you're talking about someone else, disregard all this and good luck with your goals. =D

    1. LOL. It was, but I wasn't trying to be passive-aggressive (of course, it sounds that way now that I look at it again...sigh). I didn't know you had read them yet and didn't want to prod you. I hope my comments were helpful.

    2. Yes, they were helpful. Yesterday I finally opened the story to do some edits and kept in mind a few things you said as I worked.
