That was easy...ok, maybe not and #writemotivation update

I actually have an easy button, it is supposed to make things easier. Isn't that what the commercials say? If only that were true...but I digress...I think.

Anyway, May has not been going as planned, but most plans don't. By the end of April I was supposed to have reached the 40K mark on my WIP. I hit that mark a couple days ago. By the end of May, I was supposed to be finished with draft one. Yeah, um...not gonna happen.  But you know what? It doesn't matter.  The important thing is that I'm working on it. I'm in the middle of ch. 17 and have 24 planned. I've already reworked the first 3 chapters in my head. Once I've finished draft one, I plan on printing it off and then going through with a pen and writing down notes, etc. that I have gotten from betas, or have popped into my head. Anyway, the beginning of the end is near.

#writemotivation update
1) Finish WIP -- I'm currently on ch. 17 of 24. I'll be close, but I don't think it's gonna happen.
2) Cheer on my #writemotivation tweeps -- struggled a little with this, but getting back into it.
3) Blog once a week -- Yup, almost didn't this week, but made myself do it.

That's all I have for today.

'Till next time.

  1. You're doing fine! Certainly much better than me. May is turning out not to be a good writing month for quite a few people, it seems. :P

Keep going and I'm sure you can make a lot more progress! :)

And Easy Buttons are terrible things. We have one. Makes it impossible to get anything done, as I keep pushing it over and over again. Who can resist big red buttons?

    1. Thanks! I really struggled last month, so it is nice to be getting back into the swing of things. Also, May is the end of the school year, so it doesn't surprise me that people are struggling. You'll get back into things next month. :D

LOL. Yes, I gave my boss a Panic Button and an Easy Button. They get pressed regularly. D

    1. Yes, definitely. Never thought I could do it, but here I am! :D It helps that I have a lot of people cheering me on.

  3. I think you're doing fabulous, and you're putting us all the shame with your dedication - both to writing and supporting other writers on the tag. Keep it up!

    1. LOL. You never give yourself enough credit, Becks. It's because of you and KT than I am where I am. For that, I will always be grateful. Being apart of the #writemotivation group has been so helpful to me and I have met some really wonderful people (you included).

To be honest, I haven't felt like I have been as dedicated as I was and hope to get my cheerleader outfit back on (flaming pompoms and all!).
